How To Add Goals To Your Growth Plan

Cinodes growth plans help employees showcase their ambitions, and set and track their goals. Managers can also make use of the information provided in the growth plans during one-on-one discussions.

A common obstacle that we have identified when speaking to our user community is coming up with ideas for goals that can be added to growth plans. To help you out, we have put together a list of goals that can be used as inspiration:

Skill goals

A skill goal is based on the skills listed in your profile. If you’re currently at level 3 as a “project manager” and want to level up to a 5, add it as a skill goal.

Look at the skills listed in your profile and pick the ones you want to get better at moving forward. Choose the desired level of expertise, and add information about the support you’d like/need from your manager to achieve this goal. Finally, set a goal date so that your managers can track your progress.

Other goals

Other goals can be anything that isn’t directly linked to your role. See examples down below.

  • Find a mentor/become a mentor
  • Join a professional network
  • Learn a new language
  • Speak at an internal/external conference
  • Participate as a panelist at an event
  • Improve your public speaking skills

Track your progress

Transparency is key to personal growth as well as career development. The Growth Plan feature helps you, and your manager, keep track of your goals and your progress!
