8 tips on how to attract employees and subcontractors

Do you find it tough to attract the best employees and Subcontractors? Psst, we´ve cracked the code. Below we present eight opportunities to attract the best talents, which has a connection to your strategy and not at least to your brand.

1. Analyze your EVP (employer value proposition) – What signals and promises do we send out? Are the candidates attracted by our offer?

2. Make sure you live up to the promises and visions conveyed during your employment process.

3. Customize your offer – a person born in the 70s has other needs than a young person who wants to develop quickly. Family constellations often also play a crucial role, for example, if the individual has small children.

4. Create personas that describe the skills, attributes, habits, interests, desires, attitudes, and ambitions of those you want to attract to your company.

5. Start with your personas. Create a plan for how you, for example, attract and retain millennials. Make another plan tailored for individuals at the end of their careers – they probably have different driving forces and goals.

Adapt everything to the target group – messages, communication, and activities. Market your organization to generate interest, build a relationship with your key target groups early on, and ensure that your particular consulting company is top of mind.

6. Attract new talent by marketing your experts and their highest-ranked skills on your website, at physical and digital events, and in social media. It helps you to attract more people who are passionate about the same area.

If you don’t dare to expose your employees externally and if you are not willing to take the risk that the best will be recruited by a competitor you probably have far more serious challenges to solve.

7. Identify what your new employees need to be able to live up to your values and to reach their full potential.

8. With a well-thought-out strategy and plan for pre-boarding, on-boarding, and off-boarding, you minimize the risk of individuals leaving or spreading negative opinions about your workplace.
