Indrani Neufeld — Senior Design Consultant, Netlight Hamburg
Indrani is a Senior Design Consultant at Netlight Hamburg with a focus on inclusive design, women in tech, and DEI. As part of Netlight's Symmetry initiative, she works to close the gender gap in the technology industry. Her research background in inclusive design has shaped how she thinks about the relationship between the systems we build and the people they're built for. Since the rise of AI, she has been focused on one question in particular: how can AI be developed and used in a way that is genuinely human-first and sustainable.

A speaker, moderator, and guest lecturer on DEI topics, he completed his university thesis on "The DEI Gap in AI Systems: Organisational Risks, Responsibilities & Mitigation Strategies" during a recent sabbatical — the research that sits at the heart of this article.
