Imagine being able to ask questions to your Cinode data, get real-time insights, analyze availability, match consultants to projects, and create reports in seconds — all through a simple chat.

With MCP (Model Context Protocol), we’re creating brand-new ways to interact with Cinode.

👉 In the video below, we’ll show you how you can chat directly with Cinode — without clicking through menus or exporting data to Excel. MCP also enables interaction between AI agents and different systems, opening up entirely new possibilities for automation and collaboration.

🧠 What is MCP?

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol — an open standard protocol that enables AI models (like ChatGPT and Claude) to connect directly to external systems, such as Cinode.

This means you can use AI to:

  • Get direct answers from your Cinode data.
  • Ask complex questions in natural language.
  • Execute actions and run analyses without leaving the chat.

In short: You ask – Cinode delivers the answers.
And thanks to MCP, you can also let AI agents collaborate with your Cinode data for even smarter automation.

💬 How to use the Cinode chat

📊 1. Consultant & Skills Analysis

  • Which consultants have capacity in November?
  • List all with .NET skills at level 4 or higher.
  • Create a skill matrix for Team X.
  • What does utilization look like for next quarter?

💼 2. Project & Customer Insights

  • Show all active projects and booked consultants.
  • Which customers have had no activity in the past 30 days?
  • How many assignments are currently in the pipeline?

📅 3. Staffing & Resource Planning

  • What does the utilization look like in week 46?
  • Who is overbooked next month?
  • Show all staffing conflicts.

🏢 4. Organization & Team Analysis

  • Which teams have the most senior developers?
  • Show a skill matrix for Team Backend.
  • Which teams currently have the highest availability?

📈 5. Sales Insights

  • How many meetings have our salespeople had in the past month?
  • Show projects in the proposal stage.
  • Which customers have the most open opportunities?

🛠️ A few advanced use cases

  • Find the best consultant for Project X based on skills, location, and availability.
  • Forecast utilization for Q1 next year.
  • Identify low-activity customers and match them with available consultants.
  • Visualize a heatmap of all .NET skills across the organization.
  • Provide decision-making insights for management for the next three months.

🤖 What’s happening under the hood

MCP acts as a “common language” between Cinode and AI:

  • The MCP server in Cinode exposes data and functions.
  • The chat (e.g., in ChatGPT or Claude) connects and uses these resources.
  • The result is delivered as understandable text, tables, or visualizations.

You no longer have to search the system manually — just ask, and you’ll get the answer.

🌟 Try it yourself – it’s included in your Cinode subscription!

If you’re a paying Cinode customer, you already have access to MCP (up to your API limit).
Contact our support team, and we’ll help you get set up so you can start chatting right away. A quick way to get started is to connect Cinode MCP to Claude with our guide.

This is just the beginning of a much more interactive, fast, and smart way to work with Cinode.
