We are looking for an experienced Localization Manager for a consulting assignment with a digital games company operating several studios. The company releases games across many markets, and localization is a key part of getting each title out on time and in the right shape for every audience.

Today, localization is handled differently from studio to studio. Your mission is to bring structure: take ownership of the process, make it more efficient, raise quality and reduce long-term costs.

What you will do

Assess the current localization process and identify areas for improvement

Develop a common localization process and roll it out across studios and projects where none exists

Manage translation vendors, including assessing quality, skills and cost

Plan the localization strategy together with project teams, including which languages to support and when

Set up and maintain localization workflows within projects

Implement and document the localization management tools, and train teams to use them

Coordinate localization of in-game text, art, marketing copy and storefront content

Work on resourcing and budgeting for localization across studios

What we are looking for

Experience from release management, store management, project management or a similar role involving localization processes

A good understanding of development cycles and experience working closely with development teams

A structured, self-driven way of working, with the ability to build processes from the ground up

Ease in collaborating with developers, tech directors, producers, marketing and QA

Bonus

Knowledge of Unity and localization tooling (e.g. TMS platforms)
