Assignment: Interim Cyber Security Manager (Security Operations)

Duration: Approx. 6 months

Capacity: 50%

Location: Stockholm HQ (on-site preferred)

About the Assignment

Our client, a regulated fintech company, is looking for a Cyber Security Manager for a

6-month interim assignment at 50% capacity, to bridge the gap between security strategy

and technical implementation. You will work closely with the CISO and the Information

Security Manager, who owns Security Governance. Your job is to lead and keep momentum

in the Security Operations leg while the client's regular consultant is on leave.

We are looking for a pragmatic, solution-oriented leader who can hit the ground running. You

might have a background as a cyber security specialist but have grown into a leading or

coordinating role. In this assignment, you will act as the crucial link between security

requirements and the client's IT and engineering teams, translating policies into technical

implementation.

Experience & Profile

● Solid experience in a similar role (e.g., Cyber Security Manager, Head of CyberSec

or SecOps Lead), preferably as an interim consultant.

● A strong technical background. You understand modern IT infrastructure, cloud

environments and the software development life cycle (SDLC).

● Ability to translate strict regulatory requirements (such as DORA) into actionable

implementation steps for engineering teams.

● Pro-activeness, strong technical translation skills and a forward-leaning attitude.

● Fluent in English, as this is the corporate language.

What You Will Do

As the interim owner of the Security Operations domain, you will be responsible for driving

technical security capabilities. Your responsibilities will cover:

● Secure Software Development & AppSec: Support the engineering teams with

requirements and best practices for Application Security (AppSec) and secure

coding.

● Security Architecture & Cryptography: Act as the technical authority in

architecture forums, providing hands-on guidance on Security Architecture and

Cryptography.

● Endpoint/Cloud Security: Oversee and guide the implementation of technical

controls in the cloud and endpoint environments.

● IAM: Drive technical initiatives related to Identity and Access Management.

● Security Testing & Vulnerability Management: Order and coordinate Security

Testing, and oversee Vulnerability Management to identify, prioritise and mitigate

technical risks.

● Security Logging & Monitoring: Ensure appropriate visibility and tracking

mechanisms are in place across the infrastructure.

● Security Incident Management: Support and coordinate the technical response

processes for security incidents.

● Ensure Seamless Handover: Maintain high-quality documentation of all ongoing

Security Operations initiatives to ensure a smooth transition when the regular

consultant returns.
