Data Engineer – Data Platform & Cloud
For our client, we are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join an agile team working with modern data platforms and reusable data engineering capabilities.
The team enables other agile delivery teams through platforms for data acquisition and data product delivery. In this role, you will develop reusable components and engineering capabilities based on the team backlog and collaborate closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Business Analysts and engineers across several delivery teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop reusable components and framework capabilities for data acquisition and data delivery
- Build and work with modern data pipelines and orchestration solutions
- Contribute to modern cloud-based data warehouse solutions in Azure
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Business Analysts and engineering teams
- Support engineers in other agile delivery teams
- Contribute to data quality, data governance and metadata management
- Develop maintainable and scalable solutions using Python
- Work according to modern data engineering and software development practices
Required experience and skills
- Experience in Data Engineering
- Experience with Data Warehousing and data delivery
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Strong programming background
- Strong experience with Python
- Experience with data pipelines and/or orchestration tools
- Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality and Metadata Management
- Experience working in agile development environments
- Strong self-drive and ability to quickly understand new concepts and frameworks
- Very good communication skills in English, both spoken and written
Experience from banking or financial services is highly desirable.
