Background
We are looking for an experienced OT Security Operations Consultant to strengthen cybersecurity practices across a number of industrial manufacturing sites. The role is hands-on and operationally focused. You will help the factories improve their security posture, implement security controls and meet applicable security requirements.
You will work closely with factory teams, OT security specialists, engineering teams and operational stakeholders. A key part of the assignment is to coach and support local teams as they implement OT security practices in live production environments.
Responsibilities
Factory support and coaching
Support manufacturing sites in implementing and improving OT security practices.
Coach local OT Security Superusers and factory teams on secure OT operations.
Support hardening and secure configuration of industrial systems.
Drive the adoption of security controls in daily factory operations.
Provide practical guidance on cybersecurity risks and remediation.
Risk and compliance
Perform and support OT cybersecurity risk assessments and gap analyses.
Verify security controls across the sites.
Assess security posture against IEC 62443 and internal security requirements.
Identify gaps, support remediation planning and follow up on actions.
Operational security implementation
Support the deployment and integration of OT security solutions and controls.
Assist with secure configuration and hardening of industrial systems.
Ensure secure system design and implementation together with engineering teams.
Drive security improvements in existing OT environments.
OT development and project support
Support local OT development teams with secure design principles and security requirements.
Contribute to threat modelling and risk-based decision-making.
Review proposed OT solutions and changes from a security perspective.
Ensure security is considered early in OT development and projects.
Governance and reporting
Provide clear security recommendations and risk insights to factories and operational management.
Track and report on security posture, risks, remediation and improvement activities.
Translate technical OT risks into business impact.
Support decision-making with structured assessments and recommendations.
Mandatory requirements
Hands-on experience with OT/ICS security in industrial environments, preferably within manufacturing.
Experience supporting cybersecurity work at manufacturing or production sites.
Strong understanding of IEC 62443 and OT security principles.
Experience with OT risk assessments and gap analyses.
Experience with threat modelling and risk-based security decisions.
Experience implementing and verifying security controls.
Experience with hardening and secure configuration of industrial systems.
Experience working closely with OT, automation, engineering or manufacturing teams.
Ability to turn security requirements into practical measures in operational environments.
Experience with security remediation and continuous improvement.
Good understanding of the differences between IT and OT security and the constraints that operations impose.
Ability to coach and guide technical and operational teams.
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A structured and pragmatic approach to security in production environments.
