For our client within the financial sector, we are looking for an experienced Agile Product Owner (APO) with strong expertise in Swedish and international payments.


Start: October 1, 2026

End: September 30, 2027

Scope: 100%

Location: Stockholm – hybrid, 3 days/week on-site


About the assignment

The consultant will work as an Agile Product Owner in a team responsible for payment solutions. The role requires deep payment-domain knowledge combined with strong Agile leadership and stakeholder management skills.


Required experience

Payments

  • Strong knowledge of Swedish domestic payment systems, including Bankgirot/BGC, RIX-INST and RIX-RTGS
  • Good understanding of clearing and settlement processes for SEK payments
  • Experience with international and cross-border payments
  • Strong knowledge of SWIFT (MT/MX) and ISO 20022
  • Understanding of payment-related regulatory requirements, including PSD2 and AML/KYC
  • Knowledge of FX handling and reconciliation within payments


Agile Product Ownership

  • Experience as Product Owner, Agile Product Owner or similar role
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum and Kanban
  • Experience with backlog refinement, prioritization, sprint planning and reviews
  • Ability to prioritize product development based on business value


Technical understanding

  • Experience working with modern banking or fintech solutions
  • Understanding of APIs for payment initiation and reporting
  • Understanding of cloud-based technologies and modern system environments


Leadership & stakeholders

  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working closely with developers, testers and other technical specialists
  • Ability to collaborate with Risk, Compliance and other business functions as well as external partners


Meritorious

Experience with European payment systems and clearing, such as:

  • TARGET2
  • EBA EURO1
  • SEPA Credit Transfer
  • SEPA Instant Credit Transfer


Experience analyzing transaction data to improve payment services and reduce costs is also advantageous.
