We are currently looking for a Senior Embedded Linux Developer with a strong security focus for a consulting assignment with an international product development company based in Lund.

This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering team working on advanced Linux-based embedded products used globally. You will be involved throughout the entire development lifecycle, from design and architecture to implementation, testing, and continuous improvement.


About the Role

You will be working with security-related functionality in an embedded Linux environment, primarily in Linux User Space. The role combines hands-on development with design, threat modelling, testing, and technical collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

Develop end-to-end security features in an Embedded Linux environment

Design, implement, review, test, and document software solutions

Work with Linux User Space applications and services

Perform threat modelling and security analysis

Collaborate with cross-functional development teams

Contribute to knowledge sharing and technical discussions


Required Skills

Several years of professional experience developing in C

Strong experience with Embedded Linux

Experience working in Linux User Space

Experience with Yocto Linux

Experience with systemd

Experience with D-Bus

Solid understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)

Experience developing security-related software features

Fluent English, both written and spoken


Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with connected IoT devices

Experience with embedded security architectures

Experience with threat modelling and secure software design

Experience with CI/CD and modern software development practices

Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience

Lund, Sweden (100% onsite)
