Our client is seeking an experienced SAP IT Project Manager to lead the implementation of a Material Management initiative covering the full direct material flow. This includes SAP Business Network, goods receipt processes, internal logistics, and scanning functionality with EWM.

This is a key part of an ongoing S/4HANA digitalization journey. You will lead the end-to-end delivery of the pilot using SAP Activate methodology, with the objective of a successful go-live for two US-based factories by the end of 2026.

You will lead a small team and be responsible for planning, execution, governance, and delivery of the project.


Responsibilities


• Lead the pilot implementation through all SAP Activate phases.

• Own project planning, scope, timeline, resource allocation, and RAID management.

• Facilitate design workshops and ensure alignment with solution architects across Manufacturing and Finance.

• Oversee integrations across MM, PP, EWM, Finance, Master Data, and SAP Business Network.

• Manage internal stakeholders and external partners.

• Ensure readiness for cutover, UAT, and hypercare, supporting a successful go-live.


• Prioritization of project activities within approved scope and timeline.

• Acceptance of deliverables in line with project quality criteria.


• Solution design together with SAP Solution Architect, Solution Delivery Lead, or Business Owner.

• IT architecture decisions with Domain/Enterprise Architect.

• Sourcing, licensing, and partnerships beyond agreed scope with IT Director and/or Solution Delivery Lead.


Required Competence


SAP S/4HANA

• Strong experience in SAP Activate project management.

• Experience with S/4HANA procurement and EWM implementations/rollouts.


Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of SAP project management experience.

• At least three full-cycle implementations of similar SAP projects.

• Proven experience delivering projects in global organizations.


Additional Skills

• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.

• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

• Knowledge of sourcing and supplier onboarding best practices.


Certification

• PMI-PMP and/or SAP Activate Project Manager (preferred).


Other

• Workload: 50% from August to December 2026, with high likelihood of extension.

• Travel: 2–3 trips to the US required (US visa eligibility mandatory).

• This role is primarily on-site, with the possibility for some remote work.
