Process Area Specialist, SAP S/4HANA Direct Procurement

Our client is seeking a senior SAP S/4HANA functional expert with strong expertise in direct procurement to support their digitalization journey. The focus is on improving direct material flows into and within factories, as well as supplier communication.

The ideal candidate has proven experience implementing procure-to-pay solutions in SAP S/4HANA, preferably with deep knowledge of SAP Business Network and logistics.

You will be part of a small team, acting as a key driver responsible for solution design based on best practices, configuration, testing, and training of key users, as well as supporting a successful go-live.

Responsibilities

• Prioritization of configuration, development, testing, and training within the scope and timeline set by the Project Manager.

• Solution design in collaboration with SAP Solution Architect, Project Manager, Solution Delivery Lead, or Business Owner.

• IT architecture decisions with Domain/Enterprise Architect.

• Sourcing, licensing, and partnerships (beyond agreed scope) with IT Director and/or Solution Delivery Lead.

Required Competence

SAP S/4HANA Procurement

• Deep expertise in direct procurement, including process, design, and configuration.

• Strong knowledge of organizational structure and master data.

SAP Business Network

• Proven experience implementing SAP Business Network (or similar), focusing on PO, order confirmation, ASN, and invoice collaboration.

Integration & Compliance

• Understanding of integrations between procurement, HR, and finance.

• Knowledge of compliance requirements, including authorization policies and internal controls.

Experience

• 7+ years of SAP consulting experience.

• Minimum three full-cycle SAP S/4HANA procurement implementations.

• Experience from global direct procurement and SAP Business Network projects.

Additional Skills

• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.

• Excellent documentation and training skills.

• Knowledge of sourcing and supplier onboarding best practices.

Certification

• SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement (preferred).

Other

Ability to travel to the US 2–4 times during 2026 (US visa eligibility required).

This role is primarily on-site, with the possibility for some remote work.
