Background

We are looking for a senior designer who wants to be part of shaping the future of how our customer shows up in a new generation of digital ecosystems. As we evolves into a systems integrator, our products and technologies are increasingly embedded within partner and OEM interfaces. This creates a unique opportunity – and challenge, to define how our brand is experienced when we are not the primary interface owner, but a key technology enabler behind it.

This is a clearly defined and time boxed scope and the role is about setting the direction for that future: defining how our customers brand can remain visible, relevant, and trusted across complex, multi-brand environments through a clear and scalable ingredient branding strategy.


Purpose

The purpose of this role is to define and lead our customer ingredient branding strategy for digital HMI ecosystems, ensuring consistent brand visibility and equity in multi-brand environments. You will shape the foundational framework, principles, and decision logic that govern how our customer, its commercial offerings, and subsidiary brands co-exist within OEM-adopted interfaces. This role focuses on early strategic phases, alignment, analysis, and principle definition – laying the groundwork for later visualization and UI exploration carried out by UX/UI designers.


Responsibilities

  • Lead early-phase work (alignment, research, and principle definition)
  • Define brand hierarchy and roles across our customer, OEMs, and subsidiary brands
  • Establish key principles for:

-Brand visibility and endorser usage

-Co-existence of multiple brands

-Core visual logic


  • Create a scalable framework and decision model (e.g., Standard / Bespoke / Avoid)
  • Align stakeholders across Brand, Product, and partners
  • Produce clear strategic design guidelines and concept documentation
  • Enable handover to UX/UI designers for later visualization phases


Required Skills

  • Strong ability to translate business strategy into brand and design principles
  • Deep understanding of brand architecture, ingredient branding, and endorsement strategies
  • Experience working with complex, multi-brand, partner-driven ecosystems
  • Strong conceptual and systems thinking
  • Ability to visualize ideas clearly through conceptual mockups and illustrative examples
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and facilitation skills
  • Experience collaborating with UX/UI designers, product teams, and engineers
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and shaping direction in early, strategic phases



Level of Expertise

  • Senior-level experience (10+ years) in brand design, design strategy or experience design
  • Proven track record of leading strategic brand or design frameworks, not just execution
  • Experience within B2B, industrial, automotive, marine, or complex technical domains is highly valued
  • Familiarity with digital interfaces, HMI systems, or platform-based products is a strong plus
  • Experience influencing across organizational and partner boundaries
