Scope and range:
1 FTE needed during the period August 2026 – December 2027 (and most likely extended beyond that)
Location Stockholm
Background: A leading industrial manufacturer is embarking on a strategic transition to a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (SAP). The aim is to optimize business processes, improve cross-departmental information flow, and enhance data management capabilities.
In late 2025, the program started the Design of the first release covering the areas of Finance, Tax, Sales, Supply Chain and Procurement direct material went live. In May 2026, the second release of two in this initial pilot implementation went live with added functionality in Maintenance, Warehousing and procurement of indirect materials. The program is now moving into the next phases of roll-out to additional sites along with parallel improvement projects.
This request is for a project manager experienced in project and program planning to work as a release lead for one of the roll-out projects. You will be part of the program management and involved in key topics relating to overall planning as well as taking responsibility for the delivery of a roll-out implementation release project. The work will be done in close collaboration with the client's senior leadership and the client's workstream leads within the program. The client is currently working with an SI-partner engaged on the majority of the SAP-related tasks and also engages several other partners to take delivery responsibility within specific areas of the program.
The role is responsible for establishing and structuring the detailed planning and delivery of the roll-out of the template solution to the next site. This includes a focus on client-specific activities to ensure the program is delivered on time. The role will also assist in resolving issues that affect release scope, quality, schedule, budget and resources. The role will be expected to take own responsibility within a limited number of the project management tasks for the coming go-lives.
Main location is the client's main office in the Stockholm area, with operations spread across multiple countries in Europe and North America. Some travel will be part of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery responsible for a template roll-out project and the associated SAP release in which this takes place.
Key role in the Program Management team to establish and structure the roll-out approach on program and project levels to ensure timely and successful delivery of coming go-lives and dependencies.
Responsible for managing and reporting progress on client-specific activities to ensure the roll-out and release is delivered on time. This will include coordination of status updates and reporting on client-specific activities from the different workstreams.
Responsible for resolving issues that affect release scope, quality, schedule, budget, and resources as part of the program leadership.
Work closely with the workstreams (both internal resources and partner resources) to ensure successful planning, communication and collaboration with external partners (such as customers, vendors etc).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Background:
A degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Professional Experience:
Proven experience of managing complex SAP-based business transformation project implementations.
Proven experience in program management and portfolio planning of projects, with both business and system dimensions. Preferably in manufacturing sectors.
Experience with ERP implementation projects, and an understanding of the organisational challenges associated.
Experience with project planning and different methodologies.
Experience using Jira, Excel, Microsoft Project and other project management tools.
