In Sweden, nearly one child a day is diagnosed with cancer, and about 1,000 children and teens are under treatment. Around 80% survive thanks to modern-day medicine, however, more childhood-specific research is required to fight the disease. Team Rynkeby is part of a Nordic charity project that raises money for The Childhood Cancer Foundation, which works hard to fight childhood cancer. Cinode will now continue to sponsor Team Rynkeby for the second consecutive year.

Every year, Team Rynkeby cycles all the way to Paris to raise money for the Childhood Cancer Foundation‘s activities.

– Team Rynkebys work to increase awareness and spread knowledge about children with serious diseases is extremely important. We are extremely proud to be a part of this initiative, says Mattias Loxi, marketing manager at Cinode.

2 250 cyclists from nine countries

Team Rynkeby was founded in 2002 in Denmark and is part of a European charity project that every year raises money for children with cancer and their relatives. The participants are divided into different teams and together they cycle to the French capital.

Today, Team Rynkeby consists of 2,250 exercise cyclists and 350 assistants divided into 65 local teams from Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Germany, Switzerland, and Belgium.

The fundraiser spans over a year, with participants, as well as cycling over 1,200 km to Paris, raising money for the organisation before and after the main event.

– All cyclists and service participants put a lot of time and commitment into this fundraiser. Of course, we want to help support this vital work, says Mattias.
